Heritage Academy’s Artist-in-Residence program is designed to support working artists by offering dedicated time, space, and resources to pursue their creative work. Rooted in the Academy’s commitment to our core values of beauty, hospitality, generosity, authenticity, and sustainability, the residency invites artists to immerse themselves in their craft within a vibrant, learning community.

Are you a musician, sculptor, chef, poet—or any kind of maker with a passion for your craft? Come join our learning community as an Artist-in-Residence and devote time to deepening your creative work in an environment that celebrates beauty, curiosity, and collaboration.
As an Artist-in-Residence, you’ll have dedicated access to our studio space and the opportunity to develop a project of your choosing—this could be a musical composition, a gallery exhibition, a culinary showcase, a series of poems, or something entirely unique. We ask for two key commitments each week:
Studio Time: At least 3 hours working independently on your project in our creative space.
Student Engagement: 1.5 hours per week either leading workshops, demonstrations, or discussions with students.
