Faculty Spotlight

JEFF WRIGHT | INTEGRATED STEM FACULTY

With degrees in both Biology and Chemistry from Gordon College and a Master’s in Chemistry from Ohio University, Jeff brings a rich foundation of scientific knowledge and a deep curiosity about the natural world into every classroom. His work has focused on environmental and green chemistry—examining how molecules impact ecosystems and how science can be a tool for stewardship and sustainability. He also holds a Field Naturalist Certification from Mass Audubon.

Before joining Heritage Academy, Jeff taught in both outdoor and lab settings—leading sailing and kayaking instruction as well as working as a biology and chemistry lab instructor. Whether on the water or in the classroom, he is passionate about helping students explore the wonder and complexity of the world around them, from the smallest atoms to the largest ecosystems.

Outside the classroom, you’ll often find him hiking, birdwatching, or walking along the beach—activities that provide both rest and inspiration. As he continues his own studies as a field naturalist, he brings fresh insight into every lesson, helping students see not only how the world works, but why it matters.
