AN EDUCATION FOR
living well
Welcome to Heritage Academy in Amesbury, Massachusetts, a high school currently serving families in Northern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.
We believe that a good education equips young people not only to learn well, but to live well. That is why our curriculum focuses on integrating the liberal arts, creative arts, and common arts into a life of formation and discipleship. We are currently accepting transfer students for the 2025-26 academic year.
“At the center of our vision is a community and creation that is fully alive. Our mission is to cultivate young men and women who learn joyfully, love generously, and live beautifully.”
Our family chose Heritage because of its solid approach to education in real life, with pen and paper, books, and hands-on learning. The subjects my son is studying at Heritage are guiding him toward the pursuit of truth, and toward the age-old questions that are still incredibly important today - who am I and why am I here? What is most important, and how can I live a full life?
At Heritage, my child is an active participant in his education, and is learning disciplines and habits that will carry him through his entire life, preparing him to live a full and meaningful life. Heritage is doing important work, and we are so happy for our son to be a part of it!

OUR STORY
Heritage Academy welcomed its founding class in the fall of 2025. But our vision began back in 2020:
Salome Palmer founded Heritage as a summer program for students to encounter an education that encompassed not only their heads, but also their heart and hands. This program grew over four years, as students from across the country, and even the world, were transformed by intentional discipleship that orients them towards loving what is beautiful, good, and true and imagining a hope-filled future, for not only themselves, but their families, churches, and communities.
From this seed grew the initial concept of Heritage Academy…
